Barley & Birch manufactures 100% certified organic cotton childrens clothing with water-based inks. (They don’t pollute the earth, water, or expose farm workers to toxins.) All products from their company are made in the USA and at least 15% of their profits go to several carbon-reducing initiatives in order to fully offset the carbon emissions that result from the production of the garments. At least another 15% goes to organizations that improve people’s lives around the world.

Socially, the company donates at least 10% of profits to a variety of organizations working all over the world to improve the lives of others, supporting everything from educating rural farmers on sustainable agriculture to providing shelter to victims of abuse. Rishi Teas has launched a new line of 8 new organic iced teas. This line also features eco-friendly packaging. Founder Joshua Kaiser explains, " In our continuing efforts to minimize our environmental footprint, we use paper maufactured with 100% renewable wind energy and 80% post consumer waste-- that is chlorine free and 100% recyclable. skinny skinny: organic soaps & skincare

Found some amazing organic soap by Skinny Skinny that is wrapped in the most exquisite eco manner--with reycled pages of magazines. I think that this is the most brilliant idea besides being recycled it is also colorful and interesting. Each soap ends up being unique! Skinny Skinny recently won the award for Best Green Packaging from the HBA-IPDA for their Organic Soap Set. Well deserved indeed! Soaps available for sale here.

Tried to find this lovely recycled glass and crocheted hemp necklace elsewhere by Melissa Kirgan, but this was the best photo I could find. Lovely collection of eco designs at Eko-Laborative exhibition, presented by Eko-Lab and Ekovaruhuset. But the fave is that yummy necklace!
